Singapore, March 25, 2024<\/strong> \u2013 Hitachi Asia Ltd. today announced the appointment of Mr. Shinichi Sakai as the new Managing Director of Hitachi Asia Ltd., responsible for accelerating the growth of Hitachi\u2019s Social Innovation Business across ASEAN. He is currently Chief Operating Officer of Hitachi India Pvt. Ltd.<\/p>\nMr. Sakai will succeed Mr. Takatoshi Sasaki, who is returning to Japan to assume the post of General Manager, Government & Public Corporation Systems Sales Management Division. Both appointments will be effective April 1, 2024.<\/p>\n
With a career in Hitachi spanning more than three decades, Mr. Sakai holds extensive experience in key markets in Asia, Oceania, Middle East and Africa across multiple positions in the Power and Industrial Department, Power Systems and Energy System Sales. In his latest stint at Hitachi India Pvt. Ltd., Mr Sakai actively collaborated with the Hitachi Group of Companies in India to build a cohesive business environment and enhance the business peripheries in Hitachi in India.<\/p>\n
He said, \u201cI\u2019m excited to be back in Southeast Asia to contribute to further economic growth and continue to improve the lives of people living in the region.
