Bangkok, March 24, 2020\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 Hitachi Asia Ltd. today announced the appointment of Mr. Yoshihiro Sugeta as the new Managing Director of Hitachi Asia (Thailand) Co., Ltd., responsible to grow the operations and expand Hitachi\u2019s Social Innovation Business in Thailand. He is currently Chief Operating Officer of Hitachi India Pvt. Ltd.<\/p>\nMr. Sugeta will succeed Mr. Yoshito Kodama, who is returning to Japan to assume the post of General Manager, Front-Line Performance Management Division, Corporate Sales \u00a0 Marketing Group in Hitachi, Ltd. Both appointments will be effective April 1, 2020.<\/p>\n
\u201cI feel honored to be entrusted with this new and challenging role in Thailand. I hope to be able to put in practice all the learning I have accumulated and to work towards further improving the quality of life in Thailand through Hitachi\u2019s Social Innovation Business.\u201d<\/p>\n
In 2015, Mr. Sugeta was assigned the responsibility in Hitachi India for developing and promoting Hitachi\u2019s business within India. As a Chief Operating Officer, he has been actively and aggressively contributing by collaborating closely with several Hitachi group companies in India.<\/p>\n
Mr. Sugeta joined Hitachi more than three decades ago and he has an extensive knowledge and expertise in the area of information and telecommunication systems involving the fiber optics business.<\/p>\n
Mr. Sugeta graduated from Tokai University, Japan with a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics in 1987.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>
