The VIETWATER Expo and Conference 2011 was held on 24-26 November 2011 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre. Attracted over 5,600 visitors, this expo was a successful industry platform for solutions-providers to address the latest and most pertinent water issues in a rapidly changing world.

The event was officially opened by the Vice Minister of Construction and Chairman of Vietnam Water and Sewerage Association (VWSA), Mr. Cao Lai Quang who visited Hitachi booth to understand more about Hitachi technologies. Members of the media also visited the booth and conducted interviews with Mr Nobuyuki Nakamura, Managing Director of Hitachi Asia Ltd, Vietnam office and Mr Fumio Mizuki, Manager of Hitachi, Ltd., Water Environment Solutions Division.

Through Hitachi’s information panels and demonstration product models, visitors learned about the different advance water technologies, designed to meet the unique water requirements of each country in the region. Some of the panels and products displayed during the event comprised of Hitachi’s Environmental Vision, Intelligent Water System, Hitachi MBR and RO System, Water Distribution Control System and Urban Infrastructure Business. Participating Hitachi Group Companies included Center of Excellence Division (COE) of Hitachi Asia, Hitachi Plant Technologies and Hitachi Water Environment Solutions.

The Hitachi booth also won the “Best Booth Design” award from the organizer, United Business Media (M) Sdn Bhd in this exhibition.
